Although there is very little metal corrosion in each pulse discharge, there are thousands of pulse discharges per second, which can quickly corrode metal and achieve a certain productivity. Under the condition of maintaining a constant discharge gap between the tool electrode and the workpiece, while electro-eroding the workpiece, the tool electrode is continuously fed to the workpiece, and finally the shape corresponding to the tool electrode is processed.
    As a material for electrical discharge machining, tool electrodes are often selected from materials with good electrical conductivity, high melting point, easy processing and resistance to electrical corrosion, such as copper, graphite, and copper-tungsten alloys. When taking broken objects such as taps and other broken objects daily, preferentially use economical and easy-to-use brass materials to achieve good results. For example, the broken screw shaft can be processed with a hexagonal or flat-shaped electrode (the electrode is a brass rod), and the corresponding groove is processed, and then it can be removed with a wrench.     As the discharge medium, the working fluid plays a role in cooling and chip removal during processing. In daily processing, kerosene can be used as a working fluid to prevent oxidation of aluminum parts; for iron, steel and other workpieces, clean tap water can be used to achieve good results.
